A done-for-you service. Not software.
I collect your vendors' W‑9s, so your team doesn't have to.
Paperhound is a service run by me, Sankar. I use AI agents to chase, verify and file every W‑9. You get completed forms in your books, with nothing to install and nothing to learn.
For bookkeepers, accountants and finance teams · Pay only for completed W‑9s

The model
A service you hire, not a tool you buy.
Most AI products hand your team another tool to run. Paperhound is the opposite. You hire me to get the work done, and I use AI agents behind the scenes to do it faster.
AI software
- Your team learns it and runs it
- You configure workflows
- You watch for exceptions
- The vendor chase is still yours
Paperhound service
- I run it for you
- No setup project
- I resolve mismatches with vendors
- You pay for completed W‑9s
The problem
W‑9s are easy to ask for and hard to finish.
Vendors do not respond
The request sits in their inbox while your team sends reminders by hand.
Mismatches surface late
The name and tax ID on the form do not match, and you find out at the worst time.
The work lands on your team
Someone reads every form, chases every vendor and keys the result into the vendor master.
How it works
From vendor list to finished forms, in three steps.
- 1
Connect your books
The agent finds the vendors you paid this year and which of them have no current W‑9 on file.
- 2
The agent collects
It emails each vendor and follows up regularly. Where there is a phone number, it calls. You can see the status of every vendor at any time.
- 3
Verify and post
The agent verifies the tax ID and name, resolves any mismatch directly with the vendor, and posts the completed form into your books.
Pricing
You pay per completed W‑9. A W‑9 counts as completed when it is verified and posted into your books. A vendor who never responds costs you nothing.

W‑9 first, more to come
Paperhound starts with vendor W‑9s. The same approach fits other documents your clients keep chasing, such as employee, visa, contract and policy documents.
Who this is for
Bookkeepers and accountants who handle vendor paperwork for clients, and finance teams that want the W‑9 chase off their plate before year-end.
Not a fit if
- You want software to run yourself.
- You already have a verified W‑9 on file for every vendor.
About
Hi, I am Sankar.
I am Sankar Rao Amburkar. I have spent about 15 years in product. I am Head of AI Products at SpendFlo, where I built agents that run procure-to-pay work for enterprise customers. Before that I started my own AI accounts-payable company, and before that I worked at Airbase.
I build the agents myself, and I stay on the work until your vendor records are complete.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a completed W-9?
The form is collected from the vendor, the tax ID and name are verified, and the form is posted into your books. Anything short of that costs you nothing.
Is this software I have to learn?
No. Paperhound is a service. You give me read access to your books, and I run the work with AI agents and deliver the finished W-9s. You do not log in to anything or configure anything.
What if a vendor never responds?
The agent keeps following up: emails on a regular schedule, and phone calls where there is a number. You see the status of every vendor. You pay only when the W-9 is completed.
How do you verify a W-9?
The tax ID and the vendor's legal name are checked against the form. Mismatches go back to the vendor, not to your team.
Is my vendor data safe?
My agents connect directly to your email and your accounting system. They run in the USA on AWS-hosted infrastructure and use models such as ChatGPT and Claude.
Which accounting systems do you work with?
QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle Fusion, Zoho and Workday.
When should we start?
W-9s are easiest to collect before January. Starting in the fall leaves time for follow-ups and for fixing mismatches.
